The Events!
* Pavilion Picnics: In the warmer months we offer a variety of live meals under our beautiful timber-framed pavilion. These are casual events created to gather our community together around common tables to share delicious food and great conversation. These meals are generally buffet-style, self-serve, and “self-priced” to include everyone. The themed meals include pizza nights (made fresh in our wood-fired masonry oven), taco fests, spaghetti bashes, pancake breakfasts, and grill nights. The meals are announced about a week in advance in our email newsletter (sign up here). Fires in the fire pits on chilly evenings, people bringing instruments and playing music….let’s gather and see what happens!
* Tastings: Alice hosts educational programs on chocolates, olive oils, and vinegars. Each features an informative talk followed by an extensive tasting on the featured food. These programs are interesting, delicious, and entertaining. It allows you to sample these amazing, artisinally produced foods before committing to a purchase.
* Tea & Scones in the Garden: Throughout the warmer months we offer refreshments in the pavilion and the opportunity to talk with Amy about the native perennial pollinator plants sold in Wing & A Prayer Nursery, here on our grounds. Amy guides folks around the varied pollinator habitats she is creating on our land, and provides information on the plants and the plant/insect interactions. Alice offers refreshments (donations accepted but not expected!). A great time is had by all who attend.
